HISTORY OF CEDAR ROCK
The Village of Cedar Rock is a great place to live and play. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Brushy Mountains, the Village of Cedar Rock is mountain living at its best with scenic surroundings in the valleys, majestic views from Eagle Heights and recreational fun at Cedar Rock Country Club located in the heart of the Village. The Village is located off Highway 18 (Wilkesboro Boulevard) between Lenoir, N.C. and Wilkesboro, N.C. and is within 30 minutes of Hickory and Blowing Rock and 90 minutes from Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Asheville.
Golf, tennis, hiking and swimming….outdoor activities abound in the Village of Cedar Rock. Cedar Rock Country Club is in the heart of the village and features a Cedar Rock Country Club 7,153 yard course designed by Ellis Maples in 1965. Several tennis courts serve the members of Cedar Rock Country Club as well as an Olympic size pool with breathtaking views of the golf course, surrounding mountains, foliage and residences.
